Whiteflies

Whiteflies are tiny but persistent garden pests that attack a wide range of plants, including houseplants, tropicals, vegetables, and especially hibiscus. They feed on the undersides of leaves, weakening plants and reducing overall vigor.

What Are Whiteflies?

Whiteflies are small, white, winged insects that feed by sucking sap from plant leaves. Damage often appears as pale, stippled, or yellowing foliage.

When an infested plant is disturbed, adult whiteflies will fly up in a small cloud, making them easier to identify.

Life Cycle and Spread
