Rose Creek Abelia is very dense and compact, growing to 2 to 3 feet tall and 3 to 4 feet wide. It is semi-evergreen, keeping its leaves in mild winters. Its dark green leaves turn to purple-green in the fall. It has red stems and bears fragrant, white, bell-shaped flowers throughout the summer to frost.
This shrub will grow in full sun to partial shade and prefers sheltered sites. This shrub can be pruned in late winter to remove old or dead stems. It has no serious disease or insect problems.
