Kudos Gold Agastache also called Hummingbird Mint, this native perennial is grown for its showy blooms and lightly scented foliage. This compact variety is 1 to 2 feet tall and wide. Spikes of yellow-orange flowers appear on a mounding plant throughout the summer. The flowers attract a variety of pollinators, including hummingbirds and butterflies. They will rebloom more vigorously if deadheaded. The leaves are bright green with a mild mint scent. This plant prefers full sun to light shade.
It will grow in a range of soils except for wet soils and may not survive the winter, where soils remain wet. It is drought tolerant once established. This plant works well in mixed perennial borders, foundation plantings, prairie gardens, and pollinator gardens.
