Silvermound artemisia has soft, fern-like foliage that has an excellent silver color. It has small yellow blooms in the summer that blend into the foliage. It grows wider than tall in a neat mound. It works well for rock gardens and small accent and foundation plantings.
This perennial works well in poor soils and dry soils. If planted in too rich of soil, it will fall out in the summer. It prefers full sun to part shade. It is drought and heat tolerant once established.
