Heritage is an improved selection of River Birch. This tree has outstanding bark that exfoliates in paper-thin, salmon, or tan furls.  The young trunk is an attractive cream color all year. The Heritage Birch also has good yellow fall color.

This tree works well as a shade tree or accent.  It prefers full sun and well-drained to wet conditions.  It can tolerate some drought once established.
