Little Goldstar Black-Eyed Susan
Rudbeckia ‘Little Goldstar’ PP #22,397
This native perennial grows only 14 to 16 inches tall and wide and is very full when in bloom. Bright yellow, daisy-like flowers with brown centers appear in late summer into fall over a long season. It will bloom longer if deadheaded.
This plant prefers full sun but will grow in part shade and is tolerant of a wide variety of soils. It will bloom best if kept evenly moist but will tolerate some drought with decreased performance. It works well massed in prairie gardens, at the front of foundation plantings, and in cut flower gardens.
