This dense evergreen is grown for its compact shape and year-long color. Its green leaves are dense, and the form of this boxwood is naturally round and fairly tight. It typically reaches 3 feet tall and wide but can be trimmed to control size.
It will grow in full sun to part shade and is adaptable to a wide variety of soils except for wet soils. This variety will bronze if exposed to winter wind or more than half a day of winter sun.
It works very well as a low hedge with minimal maintenance and as a foundation plant.
