This small shrub is grown for its large, deep pink flowers. It blooms from late spring through frost, the large full-sized flowers on a compact plant. The fragrant blossoms attract pollinators. This shrub only grows to 2 feet tall by 2 to 3 feet wide, letting it fit into nearly all landscapes.
It performs best in full sun and is adaptable to a wide range of soils, although it will need water during dry spells. This plant works well as an accent, in a butterfly garden, or as a foundation plant.
