This plant grows only 8 to 10 inches tall and 12 to 16 inches wide. It is covered in purple-lavender flowers throughout the spring and again in the summer if sheared. The flowers will also attract pollinators. It has tidy greyish-green leaves that are aromatic if crushed.
This plant will grow in full sun to part shade. It will also tolerate a wide variety of soils and some drought. This perennial works well as a low groundcover, for color at the front of borders, and in foundation plantings.
