Karl Fuchs Cedar is grown for its evergreen foliage which emerges silver-blue in the spring and matures to blue-green. It has graceful, downward arching, well-spaced branches. It is somewhat slow growing, eventually maturing to 25 to 30 feet tall and 15 to 20 feet wide. It can be grown in full sun to part shade and prefers moist, well-drained soil.
This tree is somewhat drought-tolerant once established. It works well as an accent tree in larger spaces or open screens.
