Weeping Blue Alaskan Cedar
Chamaecyparis nootkatensis ‘Glauca Pendula’
This evergreen tree has blue-green foliage. It has a weeping, pendulous habit that makes it a handsome landscape tree. It grows to 20 to 30 feet tall and around 8 to 12 feet wide. This tree works very well as an accent and can take full sun although it will perform better with some afternoon shade. It prefers moist, well-drained soils and should not be allowed to dry out. It does not have any serious disease problems in our area but should be protected from drying winds.
