This upright perennial has showy daisy-like flowers that are large and pinkish-purple.  The blooms have dark centers, stiff petals, and appear throughout summer.  The leaves are dark green during the growing season, and the plant itself is upright.  It works well in a mass planting or as an accent in a perennial area.

This plant performs best in full sun but will tolerate some shade.  It is heat and drought-tolerant and will tolerate poor soils as well.
