Purple Prince Crabapple has purple leaf color in the spring that matures to dark green. It has rosy, dark pink blooms in the spring. The fruit is maroon in color and matures in the fall. It has upright branches and is fast growing to 20 feet tall and wide. This tree works well as a spring accent or for small front yards.
This tree has good disease resistance and prefers full sun and moist, well-drained soils but will adapt to a wide variety. It is somewhat drought-tolerant once established.
