Lacebark Elm
Ulmus parvifolia
This tree is one of the most vigorous tree species for the midwest. It has dark glossy green foliage, interesting exfoliating bark, and an open spreading branch structure. The leaves change to yellowish or reddish-purple in fall. This medium large tree is excellent for street and yard plantings. It is tolerant of a wide range of conditions and prefers full sun.
