This grass has an excellent upright, clumping habit.  It is notable for its variegated foliage that is green with white margins.  It flowers in summer, its feathery blooms ranging from light green to pink that fading to a golden tan.  This grass is low maintenance but should be cut back when dormant.

It will adapt to a wide variety of soils, including wet soils and heavy clay.  It grows well in full sun to part shade, although increasing shade will make the plant less upright.
