Ginkgo biloba

This tree is desirable in any male selection.  It is an excellent shade tree or ornamental accent depending on the variety. Its unique fan-shaped foliage possesses one of the best yellow gold fall colors of any tree for our area. It is slow growing, tolerates a wide range of sites, and has no serious pests or diseases.

Dwarf Varieties
  • ‘Chi Chi’ Multi-stemmed, growing 4 to 5 feet tall and wide over a span of 10 years.
  • ‘Jade Butterfly’ Vase shaped, growing 4 to 5 feet tall and wide in ten years. Larger with age.
  • ‘Mariken’ Low growing, reaching 2′ tall and wide in ten years, and 3′ tall and 8′ wide at maturity.
