Karley Rose Feather Reed Grass is grown for its large, rich pink blossoms in the early summer that fades to tan and look good through September. This grass also has dark green foliage and a slightly arching form. It stays compact, usually only 3 feet tall and wide. The flowers rise above the plant to 4 feet. It works well as a mass planting, foundation planting or accent plant. This grass is very low maintenance, only needing to be cut to the ground once annually while dormant.
This grass is drought tolerant once established and prefers full sun but will tolerate light shade, although it will bloom less as the shade increases. It prefers well-drained soils and does not have any serious pest or disease problems.
