This evergreen shrub is accented by bright red berries in the fall and winter. It is very heat tolerant and forms a handsome mound. It bears small white flowers in the spring, and the China Girl Holly bears berries if a China Boy is present.
This holly can adapt to a variety of soils except for waterlogged soils but prefers moist, well-drained soils. It can grow in the sun but prefers part shade.
