Nellie Stevens Holly is a large evergreen shrub or small tree. Its red berries are offset by the evergreen foliage, and the Nellie Steven doesn’t need a male to bear fruit. The younger holly has a good pyramidal structure.

It is a very heat-tolerant holly and can grow in the sun or part shade.  It prefers moist, well-drained soils.
