This perennial is grown for its large green leaves with wide golden margins. The leaves are very crinkled on this variety. The flowers emerge in the summer on long stalks held above the plant and are trumpet-shaped and white.
This plant is best used in a shade garden, at the front of a border, or as a foundation planting in sheltered areas. It will have its best color in some partial shade but can grow in more shade. It grows best in moist, evenly drained soils and will perform best if watered during dry spells. This plant is fairly low maintenance overall.
