This hydrangea is grown for its huge globe-shaped white flowers. Its blooms are up to 12 inches in diameter, appear in the summer, and may reappear in fall. It has large, dark green leaves and a rounded habit with sturdy, upright stems. It grows to 4 to 5 feet tall and wide.
This shrub will perform best with some sun and afternoon shade in our area. Dappled shade throughout the day is also ideal. It prefers a wide variety of soils and conditions except for dry soils. It should be watered to maintain its appearance. This variety works well as a foundation plant, in woodland gardens, or as an accent.
