This evergreen shrub has interesting coloration.  It has scale-like needles with bright golden tips that fade to green.  They have arching branches and work well in foundation plantings.

They prefer full sun, are drought tolerant, and can grow in very poor soils except for wet soils.  They will tolerate shearing, or branches can be trimmed back individually to keep them from spreading too far.
