This evergreen shrub is grown for its medium green needles.  It has scale-like needles that are silver-blue.  They have compact, arching branches and spread wider than tall. They work well for foundation plantings.

They prefer full sun, are drought tolerant, and can grow in very poor soils except for wet soils.  Branches can be trimmed back or sheared to keep them from spreading too far.
