Hidcote Lavender is a fragrant perennial grown for its purple flowers and for perfume and culinary purposes. The purple flowers appear in spikes in late spring into summer, while the foliage is silvery and very fragrant if crushed. The plant is evergreen during mild winters.
It works well in rock gardens, cottage gardens, and foundation plantings. It prefers full sun and must have well-drained soils to survive the winters in our area. Prune in the spring to maintain its shape.
