Miss Kim is an extremely hardy lilac that stays compact.  It has purple buds in the spring that opens to fragrant purple flowers. It has dark green foliage in the summer that may turn burgundy red in the fall.

It will bloom best in full sun but can take some shade. This shrub needs good air circulation but has no serious pests or diseases.
