Gleditsia triacanthos ‘Skycole’
This tree is the most widely used honey locust cultivar. It is more upright than some locust varieties and often has a central leader and arching branches. Because of its form and tolerance to a wide variety of conditions, it makes a good street tree. It is thornless, nearly fruitless and its small leaves cast a dappled shade. Its leaves turn yellow in the fall.
