Pulmonaria ‘Raspberry Splash’

This shade loving perennial is grown for its interesting green foliage with silver blotches and its pink blooms in the spring.  This perennial forms a slowly spreading mound of low leaves.  The flowers are pink to purple and borne just above the leaves.  This plant works well in mixed shade gardens and as a foundation plant.  It will tolerate heavy shade but cannot tolerate afternoon sun and need protection.  It prefers rich, well-drained soil but should not be allowed to dry out.  It does not have any serious pest or disease problems.
