Bracken’s Brown Beauty Magnolia is grown for its large, extremely glossy, dark green leaves and huge white flowers.  The leaves have a velvety brown underside and are evergreen.  The flowers appear intermittently throughout the summer, followed by interesting cone-like fruits.

This tree can grow in full sun to part shade.  It needs consistent watering in well-drained soils.  It should be protected from drying winter winds.  It works well as an accent tree or lawn tree.
