Red Pointe Maple® is a medium to large shade tree known for its brilliant red fall color and pyramidal shape. Growing quickly to about 45 feet tall and 30 feet wide, this tree forms a dense canopy that provides excellent shade. Its glossy green summer foliage turns to bright red in the fall, creating a stunning display that lasts longer than many other red maples.
It is more resistant to iron chlorosis than other red maples, making it a good option for a variety of soil types, including slightly alkaline soils. This low-maintenance tree requires little pruning to maintain its pyramidal form and works well as a specimen, street, or park tree.
Red Pointe Maple® prefers full sun to partial shade and is tolerant of different soil conditions, though it thrives in moist, well-drained soils. Once established, it is moderately drought-tolerant and does not suffer from significant pest or disease issues.
