Sienna Sunrise Nandina is semi-evergreen and has impressive new red foliage in the spring, which turns to medium green in the summer, then reacquires red tones in the fall and winter. It works well as an accent, foundation plantings, or in mass plantings. It is slow-growing and dense with narrow leaves. It occasionally flowers.
It grows in full sun to almost full shade, although it will have a much better fall color in more sun. It will tolerate a wide range of soils and performs best with regular watering. It has no serious pests or diseases.
