6-10' Tall 3-5' Wide in 10 Yrs
Full to partial sun 60px

This compact evergreen is prized for its elegant, upright form and striking silvery-blue needles. With widely spaced branches, it develops a refined, airy structure, reaching about 6 to 10 feet tall and 3to 5 feet wide in 10 years, growing larger with age. Its 3-inch needles display a beautiful two-tone effect, with silvery interiors and blue-green exteriors.

Thriving in full sun, this pine adapts to various soil types but requires well-drained conditions and performs best with moderate moisture. It can struggle in intense summer heat, so planting in a cooler part of the landscape is ideal. While generally resilient, it may be susceptible to pine shoot moths, sawflies, and needlecast.

The Dwarf Japanese White Pine is an excellent choice as a specimen tree or in small group plantings, offering a unique and refined evergreen presence in the landscape.
