This small accent tree is grown for its form and soft needles. The needles are blue-green and keep their color well in the winter. The branches weep down and will spread along the ground. The tree can be trained into a more upright form, however. It prefers full sun but can take some light shade.
They prefer rich, well-drained soil and can take some drought. It works well as a large accent plant near a foundation or in a large bed.
