This large shrub or small tree produces large, double blossoms with lots of nearly true blue flowers summer through fall. It grows to around 8 to 10 feet tall and 4 to 6 feet wide and has an upright vase shape.

It prefers full sun to part shade but will bloom best in full sun. It will tolerate a wide variety of soils and some drought but prefers even moisture. This plant works very well as a specimen or accent. It can also form a colorful hedge and be planted around foundations.
