This shrub produces large lavender pink, hibiscus-like blooms with maroon throats.  It blooms from mid-summer to fall, adding color to the late-summer garden.  It is a large, vase-shaped shrub suitable for hedges or accents.  It has dark green leaves through the summer.

It blooms best in full sun but will tolerate some shade.  This shrub is very tolerant of heat and some drought.  It will grow in a variety of soils and doesn’t have any serious pest or disease problems.
