This small shrub has interest multiple seasons of the year. Its spring foliage is deep purple to red in the spring, changing to blue green. It has pink flowers in the spring, often reblooming in the summer if it is cut back.
It stays compact and forms a mound that can be used in a border, as a specimen, or as a foundation plant. It prefers full sun and will adapt to a variety of soils. It doesn’t have any serious pest or disease problems.
