Anthony Waterer Spirea is dwarf growing and puts on flat clusters of bright rose blossoms in the spring and summer. The foliage emerges purplish in the spring, then turns dark green until fall when the foliage turns yellow or red.
This shrub prefers full sun to bloom best but can take light shade. It will rebloom best if trimmed back after the first bloom. It will adapt to a wide range of soils and doesn’t suffer from any serious pest or disease problems.
