Black Hills Spruce
Picea glauca ‘Densata’
Black Hills Spruce are grown for their winter interest and dense habit. Its needles are an even green and the branches are closely spaced. It grows in a neat cone shape to 20 to 25 feet tall, or occasionally taller. It prefers full sun and will tolerate light shade. It should be watered during a drought and cannot tolerate saturated soils. It works well as an evergreen screen or accent tree.
