Dwarf Alberta Spruce is a small, dense evergreen grown for its form. It has short needles on extremely compact branches, giving it an almost perfect “Christmas Tree” appearance. It eventually reached 6 to 8 feet tall and 4 to 5 feet wide in our area but is extremely slow growing.
This tree works well for framing entryways, as an accent, and in containers. It prefers full sun, although some afternoon shade is appreciated. It grows best in moist, well-drained soil and should not be planted in hot areas against brick or pavement in our area.
