This large shrub has showy clusters of white flowers with pink overtones in the spring. The blossoms are sweetly fragrant. It has dark, glossy green leaves in the summer and black berries. It is semi-evergreen in the wintertime, keeping its leaves if it’s planted in a sheltered location. It is upright and well-branched and lends itself to be used as a hedge or accent plant.
It prefers full sun but will grow in partial shade. This plant will adapt to a wide range of soils and has no serious pests or diseases.
