Leatherleaf Viburnum is an extra large shrub that is semi-evergreen to evergreen in a sheltered location. It has large 3-6 inch long, puckered leaves that cover the plant in summer. The leaves are dark green in summer with a silver underside. The flowers appear in springs, are cream-colored, and are in large, flat clusters. Fruit follow that are red and turn to black in the fall.
This shrub prefers full sun to part shade. It will adapt to a wide variety of soils and doesn’t have any serious pests or diseases.
