This weigela grows slightly larger than other varieties while remaining compact for landscaping. Its profuse, pinkish-red, trumpet-shaped flowers in the spring are notable. It is also notable for its purple leaves throughout the growing season.

It needs at least 6 hours of sunlight to bloom best, but we prefer afternoon shade in our area.  It does not have any serious pest or disease problems.
