Densiformis Yew is an evergreen shrub that is excellent for shadier locations. The feathery needles have a good winter color, and the shrub can occasionally get red berries if a pollinator is nearby, as it is a female. It says dense and can be sheared, growing wider than tall naturally.
It works well as a foundation planting. It does best in partial shade. It prefers moist soil but cannot tolerate wet soil. This shrub does not have any serious pest or disease problems.
