Emerald Spreader Yew
Taxus cupidata ‘monloo‘
This low, evergreen shrub is excellent for shadier locations. The needles have a good winter color and interesting, spreading branch structure that shows up the dense, short needles. It can spread to 9 feet tall in ideal conditions and works as a groundcover.
It does best in partial shade. It prefers moist soil but cannot tolerate wet soils. This shrub does not have any serious pest or disease problems.
