This yucca is grown for its blue-green leaves and impressive flowers. Growing 2 feet tall, 3 feet in bloom, and 2 feet wide, this shrub’s grass-like leaves radiate out from its center. It has a long season of extremely showy red-flowered spikes that appear in summer held well above the foliage. Its leaves are also evergreen.
This shrub prefers full sun and will tolerate heat. It will grow in a wide variety of soils except for wet soils and is drought tolerant. This plant works well in modern gardens, rock gardens, specimen plants, and as foundation plants.
